Air Canada Jazz flight makes emergency landing at CFB Trenton

An Air Canada Jazz flight had to make an emergency landing at 8-Wing CFB Trenton on Wednesday afternoon.

The flight 7962 from Toronto to Montreal was diverted to Trenton after pilots noticed the smell of smoke in the flight deck.

“The aircraft landed safely and was inspected upon arrival and no fire was found,” Véro Poitras, spokesperson for Jazz Aviation wrote in an email to InQuinte.  “We sincerely apologize to all 68 passengers for the disruption and they will re-depart for Montreal shortly.”

Passengers reported they could smell smoke in the cabin however no one was injured.

It’s not known at this time what caused the smoke.
