Picton Pirates acquire two forwards from Frankford in trade deal

The Picton Pirates have completed a trade deal with the Frankford Huskies ahead of the upcoming PJHL season.

The Pirates announced on Wednesday they have traded defensemen Kaleb Baldwin and forward Keagan Carr with cash considerations for forwards Jakob Gardner and Keenan Wiles.

Gardner and Wiles are two high-impact players who bring scoring, leadership, and a winning pedigree to the Pirates.

“We’re beyond excited to bring Jakob and Keenan into our lineup,” said Jamie Lane, Head Coach and General Manager.  “These are two elite competitors who know how to win, produce in big moments, and lead by example. Their skill, work ethic, and commitment are exactly what we need to push for another title in Picton. Our fans are going to love watching them in Pirates colours this season.”

Gardner put up 115 points in 115 games while Wiles put up 83 points in 71 games as Huskies.

Both were PJHL All-Star selections in the 2024-25 season and bring back-to-back regular season championship experience.
