Harmony Homes proudly celebrated its 15th anniversary in style with a community barbecue fundraiser, bringing together friends, partners, and neighbours last Friday.
It was an afternoon to remember with food, fun, and giving back. From raffles to snow cones, the milestone event was more than a celebration—it was an opportunity to make a lasting difference in the community.
Thanks to the generosity of attendees and sponsors, the barbecue raised an impressive $4,136, with all proceeds donated directly to Habitat for Humanity Prince Edward-Hastings (Habitat PEH).
The funds will support Habitat PEH’s mission to build safe, decent, and affordable homes for families across the region. Harmony Homes made sure there was something for everyone and had an incredible line up of family-friendly fun.
With various activities including lawn games, toonie toss, and hammer contests – the day just flew by. As a bonus with the perfect summer weather, even the folks that had to sit for the dunk tank, including Harmony Homes owner Tom Streek and Habitat PEH CEO Hazzem Koudsi, truly didn’t mind the refreshing dip!
Adding to the special occasion, Member of Parliament Shelby Kramp-Neuman joined the festivities to present Harmony Homes with a congratulatory certificate, recognizing the company’s milestone and its ongoing commitment to the community.
Owner of Harmony Homes, Tom Streek, states, “Celebrating 15 years with our community by giving back to the place we’re so grateful to call home has been deeply meaningful. This fundraiser was about more than food and fun—it was about coming together to support families through Habitat for Humanity. The generosity we witnessed from our sponsors, trades, and neighbours is a reminder of the strength of this community. We are incredibly honoured for all those that made this event a success!”
For 15 years, Harmony Homes has been dedicated to building not just houses, but strong connections with the community.
This anniversary barbecue highlighted that spirit by uniting people over good food, lively conversation, and a shared commitment to helping local families with the opportunity to have a safe place to live. 2 Habitat PEH expressed gratitude for the support, noting that every dollar raised contributes directly to their current projects including Lester Road, Quinte West, and the demolition of 93 Dundas Street East, Belleville in September.
In case you missed it, applications are currently open for the build project on Lester Road, which will soon become 2 semis, providing homeownership for 4 families. For more details about the application process please reach out to Homeownership Program Coordinator, Meg, at megl@habitatpeh.org
